Bio

Hello everyone! My name is Nora Zade, I am Pomo, Konkow, Yuki, Wailaki from Round Valley on my father’s side and Pawnee and Tsalagi on my mother’s. I recently graduated from UC Davis with a B.A. in Psychology and Native American Studies. I am deeply interested in and called to the work of Language Revitalization, especially as it relates to the process of healing historical trauma, particularly within the context of Indigenous women. I am currently in the process of learning Northern Pomo, so being able to work on the Mellon Project with the NALC to develop various resources for language learners is an effort that I find to be extremely vital, valuable, and rewarding.
